Ketogenic Diet Research Program
Examining Changes in Weight & Body Fat
A ketogenic diet promotes energy production from healthy fats and proteins with minimal consumption of carbohydrates. This diet allows the body to produce ketones for energy production instead of using primarily glucose without a restriction on calories.
KGK Science in London, ON is pleased to offer you the opportunity to participate in our research study implementing a ketogenic diet to measure for changes in cholesterol, inflammation, body fat percentage, and weight in a select population of healthy adults.
Eligible adults will participate in a medically supervised diet for 5 months with regular visits to monitor your progress, in addition to receiving detailed nutrition counseling.
Ideal Participants Will Be:
- Women & men ages 30-55
- Moderately elevated LDL cholesterol levels and on minimal to no medications
- Interested in adopting a ketogenic diet
- BMI 20 - 29.9 kg/m2
- Available for 7 visits over 140 days of dietary intervention
Compensation of up to $1200 will be provided upon study completion.
